Professor of Artificial Intelligence, Turing Fellow, Director of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Medical Diagnosis and Care

David Hogg is Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Leeds and Director of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Medical Diagnosis and Care. A former Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Turing Fellow, David is internationally recognised for his work in Computer Vision, and now works on applying AI in engineering, medicine and the environmental sciences.

Software Development Scientist with Machine Learning Specialisation

Dr Donald Cummins is a Software Development Scientist at the Centre for Environmental Modelling and Computation (CEMAC), specialising in Machine Learning. With a background in mathematics and climate statistics, he bridges the gap between ML and environmental science, working on diverse topics including weather forecasting, climate modelling, and satellite imagery analysis.

Jordan Appleson

Founder & CEO at Hark

Jordan Appleson is the Founder and CEO of Hark, an industrial IoT and energy management technology company acquired by an S&P 500 firm. Based in Leeds, he leads innovation in asset monitoring and connectivity. He studied at Leeds Grammar School and has driven Hark’s growth across major industries.
